On Tuesday, February 24th representatives from dining attended the council meeting at city hall to receive four more Green Business Certifications. This brings to total nine independent certifications dining has received since becoming the first restuarant under Monterey Bay Green Business partnership. College Eight/Oakes, Terra Fresca, Owl's Nest and College Nine/Ten Dining Hall are now proudly displaying their plaques. This intensive program focuses on pollution preventions, water/energy conservation, solid waste and recycling. Equipment and facility upgrades as well as staff training are part of this comprehensive City of Santa Cruz- Green Business Program.
