We are officially the first business, the first restaurant and the first university to be awarded Green Business Certification under the new City of Santa Cruz program.
Two separate certificates were issued: one for Crown/Merrill Dining Hall and one for Banana Joes Cafe as each location qualified under the stringent guidelines.
Clint Jeffries was the coordinator for the program and he is currently working with the other managers to have each of our dining halls and cafés on board with staff trained and ready for their individual inspections by September 2007.
