UCSC Dining takes home Gold for the twelfth time

UCSC Dining once again brought home a 1st Place Award at the Santa Cruz Clam Chowder Cook-Off and Festival. This marks our twelfth 1st Place Award since we began competing in 2005, and our 19th clam chowder award in total. 

Our Redwood Sluggers team won 1st Place People’s Choice for their Professional Manhattan Clam Chowder. Our Chowder Slugs team took home 3rd Place Most Tasted for their Professional Boston Clam Chowder.

This year, the 38th Annual event raised $90,000 for City of Santa Cruz Parks and Recreation. Nearly $1.5 million has been raised since the first competition in 1981.
