Passover Support at UCSC
During Passover, UC Santa Cruz Dining takes intentional steps to provide options that support students observing the holiday. Select dining halls and campus markets offer Passover-inspired dishes and Kosher-friendly items throughout the week of observance.

Dining Hall options
- UCSC Dining will offer a variety of Passover-style dishes at participating dining halls during dinner service.
- Matzo crackers and condiments will be available throughout the day, and matzo ball soup may be offered during meal times.
- Menu items will avoid ingredients restricted by Kosher dietary laws—such as pork and shellfish—and meat and dairy will not be served together in the same menu offering.
- While products used may be Kosher-certified at the time of purchase, food will not be prepared in a certified Kosher kitchen, and a mashgiach will not be present.
- For specific daily menus and participating dining halls, please check the UCSC Dining Menus.
Market options
Kosher-friendly snacks and packaged foods will be available for purchase at select campus markets throughout the week.
